Treyarch has now teased the first three post-launch maps coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 as part of its Season One content update. Set to arrive on 14th November 2024, the three maps arriving for free are Hideout, Extraction, and finally Heirloom. All of them support 6v6 player matches, and Heirloom is also playable in a 2v2 playlist. Get your first glimpse at them in the tweet below.
Extraction looks to be set at a boat yard, Heirloom is in a museum, and Hideout is pretty self-explanatory, with two tents hidden in the trees. They are all part of the Season One content update dropping in 10 days time, which will also contain the first Battle Pass, new weapons, and more.
In addition, a new PS5, PS4 patch has been deployed for the game today that makes some balance changes and nerfs select items, like the Recon Combat Specialty. It lets you see enemies through walls when you respawn after a death, but the duration it’s active has been reduced. SMGs have had their damage ranges extended across the board while assault rifles have had their damage numbers reduced.
Spawns should also be better in multiplayer matches, with the Call of Duty blog explaining: “Spawn tuning will be an ongoing process of taking in data, reviewing gameplay and making measured adjustments in the live environment. Our number one goal is to always provide the safest spawn that we can across all maps and game modes.”
